Today I have a fun new card to share with you for the current Pals Paper Arts Challenge #293 – a softer side of spring. This week’s challenge is a fun Color Challenge with our host – Michelle Gleeson! Each week the Pals Paper Arts Design Teams create fabulous samples and invites their readers to join in, be sure to come and join us using this fun color challenge.
For today’s card I wanted to use these soft colors to make a serene card, and this trio really were perfect to do just that. I decided to use the Grateful Bunch Stamp Set and coordinating punch – Blossom Bunch Punch from the Occasions Catalog. I wanted to use these colors in some designer series paper as accents so I rummaged through my stash and decided on this soft stripe background paper from the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper and a matting layer for my main image from the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Pad.
I also used some of the Mint Macaron It’s My Party DSP pieces to act as leaves behind my flowers. I love how easily these flowers layered when using the Blossom Bunch Punch! Now these darling flowers look great layered, but they were missing a final touch. Queue the Love Blossoms Embellishments Kit the Blushing Bride Enamel Glitter Dots were the perfect finish I was looking for!
Thank you for visiting my blog today I really had fun creating today’s challenge card. I hope you drop by soon and if you haven’t played along yet – be sure to join in on this week’s Pals Paper Arts Challenge! Have a wonderful day!

Jackie – These colors really pop on your card, and the flowers are wonderful. I’m enchanted, though, by the band of striped paper that pulls it all together. Great project!
Bunches of flowers are perfect for this challenge. Soft and pretty for spring.
First, love the strip of DSP and then the way you worked the flowers over the full space…I got this set but not the punch yet…need it! Beautiful card!
Jackie, I love the Blushing Bride CS and the DSP band just makes it better. Really love how you have used the colors.
Love, love this Jackie. Time for me to use this bundle. Thank you so much for the kick in the pants (aka inspiration). 🙂
Great use of this stamp set, Jackie! Such a pretty card!
Jackie, we were on the same creative wavelength for this challenge. The layering of the flowers is so pretty. Thank you for inspiring us with your creativity.
The perfect stamp set to showcase this week’s color challenge as you and Michelle so sweetly demonstrated. Well done!
Love the way you’ve layered those flowers. Great choice and a refreshing Sping card.
Hi there would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m planning to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a
hard time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most
blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
Hi there! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice
from an established blog. Is it difficult to set up your own blog?
I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast.
I’m thinking about making my own but I’m not sure where to begin.
Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Appreciate it
Wow that was strange. I just wrote an incredibly long comment but after I clicked submit my comment
didn’t appear. Grrrr… well I’m not writing all that
over again. Regardless, just wanted to say excellent blog!
This design is spectacular! You definitely know how to keep a reader entertained.
Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Great job.
I really loved what you had to say, and more than that,
how you presented it. Too cool!
You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find
this matter to be really something that I think I would never understand.
It seems too complex and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post,
I’ll try to get the hang of it!
