Today I have the honor and privilege of being a Guest Stamper at Mary Fish’s Blog Stampin’ Pretty! I am part of Mary’s wonderful group called the Pals and I just love being a part of such a fun group of Guys and Gals! The entire group is a fabulous support team and I am blessed to be a part of!
When I sat down to try and create something to share today I wasn’t sure where to start. All I knew was that I wanted to use some of the new products I picked up at the end of June. I have been having fun with a few of the Blendabilities sets and I just had to pick up the two colors I didn’t yet have which were Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive. To be honest I wasn’t sure if I was going to like these colors together since I have always been drawn to the lighter and brighter colors so these colors weren’t ones I typically reac for. I was pleasantly surprised with these colors as I started to play!
I pulled out my new Sweetbriar Rose stamp and started by stamping the image using Memento Tuxedo Black which has been my favorite black ink for years. I am so glad that Stampin’ Up! now carries it! I started with the Rich Razzleberry Light Blendabilities on the central flower and continued through several layers on to the Rich Razzleberry Medium Blendabilities on top. I am loving the use of these markers! I have been an alcohol marker user for years and when Stampin’ Up! introduced their own line I was excited to try them out. I have been having a field day with them (which you will notice in my recent posts!) and using them with our remarkable stamps is such a joy! Once my flowers were completed I decided to focus on the leaves, again adding layers and layers of Old Olive Blenabilities to these colors. I always start with the lightest color and build on it.
I love how the entire image turned out, it was not what I imagined when I began but I love how it turned out! I began to add layering for this image I wanted to pull in the colors from the card so I decided upon using the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Pad, the colors are a bit darker, but I think it works wonderfully! I layered the Sweetbriar Rose stamped image on top of Smoky Slate and then backed with Hello Honey and of course used Dimensionals. I also layered the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Pad on another piece of Smoky Slate cardstock. I also added some of the luscious Hello Honey 3/8″ Stiched Satin Ribbon.
Thank you so much for stopping by, I do hope you enjoyed my project! If you haven’t picked up the Blendabilities yet, I strongly suggest them. I will be sharing my personal Tips and Tricks with my customers who place orders for these amazing markers. My
