Today my creation for this color challenge features the Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies! This is another item that I ordered during the Holiday Catalog preorder that has gone unloved until now. I love the different sentiment thinlits dies that Stampin’ Up! has been offering and the font for this set is spot on! The additional sentiment of ‘Merry Christmas!’ is from the Snow Place stamp set. I felt like the ‘Merry’ need a bit of something else. Now the card reads, “Merry Merry Christmas!”, which seems a bit more festive for me with this beautiful color combination. The ‘Merry Christmas!‘ has been stamped onto the Mossy Meadow cardstock in VersaMark and heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder with a Heat Tool. My ‘Gold Foil’ for this challenge I couldn’t locate my pack of Gold Foil – I think it is still in a box somewhere, so I improvised and used a piece of the Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper and matched it with a Reindeer Paper Clip Embellishment for the finishing golden touch!

Pals Blog Hop for December – Winter Wishes!
Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for December; we are thankful you stopped by. This month we are showcasing projects that feature Stampin’ Up! products that should be on
everyone’s wish list. We hope you enjoy our creations.
For today’s ‘Winter Wishes‘ project I decided to feature some of the many items on my Wish List for the Occasions Catalog – which will be releasing in January! As a Demonstrator you can pre-order all sorts of items so that we can work with these products before sharing and creating with our fabulous customers! One of my ‘must have’ items from the Occasions Catalog is the Rose Wonder Bundle which features the Rose Wonder Stamp set and coordinating Rose Garden Thinlits Dies. Roses have always been a huge favorite of mine so I just had to use this die set first – plus I wanted to try out the Big Shot Die Brush too! I thought I would illustrate for you what this amazing tool does! so….here is a shot of the results I get after using my fingers lightly after running the Blushing Bride cardstock through my Big Shot:
After running the Big Shot Die Brush back and forth over my die and cardstock – note all the little bits of paper that have now been removed from the intricate Rose Garden Framelits Die:
The final result with the ease of the Big Shot Die Brush:
I think the photos speak for themselves! I am loving this tool and I know that it will be perfect for all those hard to release dies Stampin’ Up! offers. I decided to use the Rose Garden Die Cut as my main focus on this card with the background being a piece of the new Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack and touches of sequins that come in the new Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit! Then to finish my card off I used some Whisper White cardstock and with the frame die cut that is included in the Rose Garden Framelits Dies set create a raised layer for my sentiment – ‘Sending Smiles‘ from the new Greatest Greetings stamp set. You may recognize the font on this stamp set and I was so happy to see this font returning in a new stamp set! This Greatest Greetings stamp set comes with 15 new sentiments that are varied from previously offered sentiments – I love it and I think you will too! Well, I have shared with you just a fraction of my personal ‘Winter Wishes’ – I hope your keeping notes!

Pals Paper Arts Challenge #278 – Color Challenge!
Today I have a card to share with you for the current Pals Paper Arts Challenge #278! This week’s challenge is a fun Color Challenge with Challenge Team #1! Each week the Pals Paper Arts team creates fabulous samples and invites their readers to join in, be sure to come and join us using this fun color combination challenge:
Today my creation for this color challenge features the Oh What Fun Stamp set, the Festival of Trees stamp set, and the very lovely Boughs & Berries Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. What I was trying to decide what to create for this weeks challenge I had noticed the Boughs & Berries Textured Impressions Embossing Folder was sitting on my desk and had yet to been opened. Well, I couldn’t just leave it there, it was crying out to me to be used – which was exactly what I set out to do! I decided to use daubers to color the raised areas of this folder to give the entire card a festive border for the sentiment and trees to be framed by.
Honestly, I ordered the Boughs & Berries Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with my Pre-Order, but I haven’t seen too many samples out there using it which held my attention to other items in the Holiday Catalog. Once I created this card using this week’s colors of Cucumber Crush, Real Red, and Crumb Cake I just needed to keep using this folder! I plan on seeing what else I can come up with before the Holiday Catalog comes to an end – in fact the Boughs & Berries Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is one of the items on the Holiday Catalog Retirement list so if you would love to create this card or one similar be sure to snatch up this folder before it’s too lat. All accessories, papers, and tools are only available while supplies last!
Stampin’ Up! announced two weeks ago the Holiday Catalog Retirement List. Check out all the items here at the store: Retiring Items. They have announced that Stamp sets will continue to be produced well until December 28th, but once an accessories is gone, it’s gone. I suggest stocking up on your must haves now so you don’t miss anything! The Woodlands Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is already sold out!
