Color Blocking – First Sight
Good morning! Today I have a card to share that has been in my head since I first saw the Occasion Catalog back in November. I waited to order this stamp set though to see what other people might create, and to be honest I haven’t see it featured as much as I imagined it would. I thought I would change that!
I set out to create a ‘color blocking’ type of card featuring this fabulous Baker’s Twine Combo Pack and the First Sight Stamp Set. This stamp set features so many pretty sentiments and some gorgeous fonts, but the swirly leaves is what caught my eye. I love how detailed this entire set it, it’s so soft and lovely. Plus I simply love all of the Thick Baker’s Twine Stampin’ Up! has come out with, but seeing this pack featuring two colors made me swoon! The contrast that the black creates with both the Mint Macaron and the Melon Mambo is simply fabulous and I do help this is just the tip of the iceberg in what’s to come!
Now, I have been mulling over how to proceed with this card. So, what would you do? Leave this card as is? Add a sentiment or focal image? Thoughts you might have? Let me know! I would love to hear your feedback!

Today I have a card to share with you for the current Pals Paper Arts Challenge #288! This week’s challenge is a fun Sketch Challenge with our host Amy Lazzell! For my creation today I pulled out my Going Global Stamp Set and coordinating Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack! I simply love the layout to Amy’s kketch for this week’s challenge, and it just screamed for the use of this awesome globe Stamp from Going Global! The colors trio of colors from the Going Places DSP Stack that were calling for today’s card are Lost Lagoon,Very Vanilla, and Basic Black. I also pulled out some of the new Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Stitched Ribbon to accent this card and bring some more pop. If you haven’t picked up this ribbon it is a fabulous addition to your stash – in fact I would love to see this ribbon offered in lots of our Stampin’ Up! colors! I hope you like my card today, I really like the pop these colors and layout bring to today’s design!
