Botanical Garden!

Tropical Blooms

Good morning! I hope you are enjoying your weekend and getting down time so you will be ready for the week ahead! Today I have a card for you featuring so many wonderful products from the Botanical Garden Suite.

I know I have said it before, but I love how the Occasions Catalog offers so many ‘Suite’ options. When everything matches together nicely I am a happy camper. Today’s card uses the entire Botanical Blooms Bundle that includes the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies, the Botanical Blooms Photopolymer Stamp Set, and the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper! Now you might want to reread what I just wrote, the Botanical Bundle includes not only the fun stamp set and gorgeous dies, but it also includes the coordinating Botanical Garden Designer Series Paper! How exciting is that?! When I first saw the price of this bundle I thought it was high, until I read the items included and I was thrilled! With this trio of goodies we get a 15% discount on all three and with Sale-A-Bration still going on you can earn a Sale-A-Bration reward too for ordering it now! A win – win if you ask me!

The trio of colors that you will find in the Botanical Gardens Cardstock Pack is Cajun Craze, Hello Honey, and Mossy Meadow. I used two of these three colors in today’s card – mainly the Cajan Craze and Hello Honey. To add a bit of a brightness I also used some Old Olive for my card base and of course the darling Iced Rhinestone Embellishments for my flower centers. One of my favorite parts of this card is the piece of Botanical Garden Designer Series Paper that has been cut by the vine die included in the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.

Now, since this card uses two of the five 2014-2016 In Colors I thought I would also take the time to remind you that we will soon be retiring the 2014-2016 In Colors. If you are like me and you stock up on your favorite’s before the leave town be sure to add them to your order now. The five included in the soon to retire set are Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow, and Tangelo Twist. As it gets closer to the New Catalog in June the In Colors usually switch to ‘available while supplies last’ and once that happens they fly off the shelves. I see it every year and there is always a few customers wishing they had ordered more while it was around so stock up now and cash in on Sale-A-Bration rewards at the same time too!

Thank you for dropping by – I hope you enjoyed my Botanicals creation and be sure to come back soon to see more! Have a fabulous day and a wonderful week!

Eggstraordinary!

EggIn the last week there have been so many amazing Easter creations shared all over social media. Tevelvision commercials, radio stations, emails from stores, Blogs, Facebook pages, websites are all filling with Easter inspiration! Recently I saw a card on the Stampin’ Up! Blog that featuted ‘eggs’, but I know for a fact we do not have an ‘egg’ Stamp Set or punch, but once I saw how the ‘eggs’ we created I had to give it a try myself!

I pulled out my Balloon Celebrations stamp set and coordinating Balloon Bouquet punch which is offered as a bundle and got to work! I decided to use pastel colors so I selected Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, and Blushing Bride inks for my eggs. I stamped a trio of large Balloons from the Balloon Celebrations Stamp Set on Whisper White Cardstock then used the Balloon Bouquet Punch to punch them all out.

I learned a little trick when using the Balloon Bouquet Punch, do not Stamp multiple images side by side on the edge or a strip of cardstock – the double Punch will Punch chunks out of your stamped images. Instead cut a strip of cardstock about a 1/4″ wider than you balloons and stamp them in a line going up or down. This will allow you to easily punch many Balloons without loosing any of your stamped images!

Once I had three Balloons punched out I used my Paper Snips to trim off the rubber ends and turned them upside down. Viola! Eggs! I then added them to a piece of our Farmer’s Market Designer Series Paper and layered the main panel on a bit of Daffodil Delight to add some more pop. I decided on a Pear Pizzazz Cardstock base for a springy finish and a touch of some Pool Party Seam Binding Ribbon left over in my stash. For the finishing touch I stamped the sentiment ‘You’re Eggstraordinary‘ from the Greatest Greetings Stamp Set in Cucumber Crush for some pop!

Pals Paper Arts Challenge – Sweetest!

12794942_1040005749405396_536738360250234535_o Today I have a fun new card to share with you for the current Pals Paper Arts Challenge #291 – with a powerful duo of Honeycomb Happiness. This week’s challenge is a fun Color Challenge with our fearless leader and challenge host – Mary Fish! Each week the Pals Paper Arts Design Teams create fabulous samples and invites their readers to join in, be sure to come and join us using this fun color challenge.

PPA-291-Mar10To start today’s card I really wanted to use one of the Occasions Catalog stamp sets that I haven’t had the chance to play with yet. In fact I think there are two stamp sets still waiting for some love, but for now I pulled out the darling Apple of My Eye Stamp Set. When I saw that this challenge used Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush I simply HAD to ink up these little cherries! In fact I made my own sheet of cherry designer series paper, similar to the print in our 6×6 Cherry On Top designer series paper pack – just larger! I also used the fun In Color Envelope Paper Pack for the striped areas in Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush. I was almost finished when I realized that the card needed a bit more to finish it off so I pulled out the Pool Party 5/8″ Glitter Ribbon for just a bit of shine!
