Monday afternoon the Retirement List was revealed from Stampin’ Up!. It features all of the items from the Annual Catalog and Occasions Catalog that will be Retiring once both Catalogs end. If you haven’t checked it out yet, here it is in PDF form: Retirement List.
There are a lot of wonderful items that we will not be carrying, but wait until you see what’s to come!
The notable items that are leaving are the 2014-16 In Colors, Candy Dots, the current Score Blades and Tracks for the Stampin’ Trimmer, Bundles, our Craft Scissors, and all of our current DSP. The In Colors always go quickly, so if you want any items from Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, and my favorite Lost Lagoon – stock up now! Pals Paper Arts Challenge – Friends Forever!
Today I have a fun new card to share with you for the current Pals Paper Arts Challenge #296 – Friends Forever! This week’s challenge is a fun Sketch Challenge with our host – Susan Itell! Each week the Pals Paper Arts Design Teams create fabulous samples and invites their readers to join in, be sure to come and join us using this fun sketch challenge.

I really love this color combination, and I love that it was featured as part of the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper. These colors – Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, and Blushing Bride work well together – then paired with our Sketch Challenge it’s a match made in heaven! I love how open ended sketches can be, and putting my own take on a sketch is something I thoroughly enjoy doing. For today’s card I simply turned the sketch on one side and ran with some bold and soft colors and of course this darling stamp set, First Sight. I think the fact that these lovely stamps match our Sweetheart Punch is just a bit of icing on the cake. It may be hard to see, but the background of this card is stamped in the same swirly leaf that can be seen under the Blushing Bride bird.
Thank you for visiting my blog today I really had fun creating today’s challenge card. I hope you drop by soon and if you haven’t played along yet – be sure to join in on this week’s Pals Paper Arts Challenge! Have a wonderful day!

Pals Monthly Blog Hop – Families First, Bloomin’ Love!
Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for April 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes. This month we are featuring projects that are all about our families. This is a great time of year to think about what to make for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or upcoming graduations. And, family vacations are just around the corner… how would you want to remember those special family moments? We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects!
Today I have a card that I created that I think would be perfect for Mother’s Day! Now, I know that the Bloomin’ Love Stamp Set and coordinating Love Blossom Designer Series Paper Stack seemed only perfect for Valentine’s Day, but these fabulous colors and patterns could be used for so many more things! I decided that it would make the perfect Mother’s Day card as well, especially since telling your parent’s how much you love them is always top of the list on special days like Mother’s or Father’s Day! I created the background from using the Timeless Textures Stamp Set and stamping it in Crumb Cake all over the card base.
I cut these sweet hearts out of the Love Blossom Designer Series Paper Stack and added a bit dimension by using Dimensionals on the center heart for some pop! No, these hearts do not fit exactly in any of our punches, so I my trusty Paper Snips were the answer to crisp clean edges. Sticking to the Blushing Bride, Rose Red, and Crumb Cake was a breeze for today’s card and I simply love how it all came together. Now, I know you must be wondering where I used the Rose Red, well inside the card I added the sentiment ‘World’s Best Mother‘ using the stamp from A Nice Cuppa Stamp Set and a piece of the same Love Blossom Designer Series Paper Stack on the inside that the outside hearts came from. I also used out Extra Large Oval Punch to frame the sentiment on Whisper White cardstock!
