May’s Paper Pumpkin!

I know I have said it before, but I am loving the changes that Stampin’
Up! has made to their ‘revamped‘ Paper Pumpkin kits! Check out the
reveal” of the May Paper Pumpkin Kit! Mine arrived around the 17 of May, but I am only now getting the chance to play. This kit is all about the Guys in our lives, featuring some wonderful stamps that say ‘Happy Father’s Day‘, ‘Happy Birthday‘, ‘Dad‘, ‘Son‘, and ‘Bro‘!

For my creations with this fun kit I tried to minimize the amount of items I used on each card by cutting the pieces that came in the kit. My first card uses only 3/4 of the green piece that I used the remaining piece on my second card. I also cut the blue strip into a thinner piece and used it along the base of the card, again using the remaining portion on my notecard below. I also cut the Crumb Cake Banner piece in half and sponged the edges for a bit more texture. I finished off this card by adding a bit of twine around the base, in a knot and not a bow this time.

For my second card I decided to create a birthday card. I wanted the words on the green strip to stand out so I added the sentiment directly above them. I think I got the design I was looking for, but my bloe strip came up a bit shy in my finished product.

Stampin’ Up! has made a few changes to Paper Pumpkin that you will LOVE! The first one that I think is noteworthy is when you sign up, no matter which month you sign up in, as long as you start by the 10th of the month you will get THAT month’s kit! That’s right there is no longer a ‘Welcome Kit’! That means you won’t be behind a month anymore! Plus, you can now order Paper Pumpkin as a pre-pay options which means you can add your Paper Pumpking to any order and be able to take advantage of Hostress Rewards if you hit $150.00!

Be sure to head on over to the Paper Pumpkin website and sign up! If you decided to sign up please add me as your Stampin Up! Demonstrator,

Pals Paper Arts Challenge #206!

I got the chance to play along with the current Pals Paper Arts Challenge #206 – Color Challenge. Each week the Pals Paper Arts team creates fabulous samples and invites their readers to join in!
This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge!

I am using some fabulous new items on my creation for today! I was lucky enough to get the stamp set Bravo early and I have been enjoying playing with it. The size of these words are huge and I love it! I wanted to make a fun card for the Pals challenge so I paired Bravo with with new stamp set Honeycomb Hello! I have been eying the Hexagon Hive Framelits since it was released in the Occasions catalog but I kept putting off getting it for some reason, but when I saw that it was bundled with a new coordinating stamp set in the New 2014-15 Catalog I just HAD to get it! In fact it was part of my first order and I am so glad that I bought it already!

I do hope you like what I had to share today, I had so much fun working
with these colors! I hope you stop by again soon! Have a wonderful day!

Just For You!

Can you tell that I am enjoying the Work of Art stamp set from the new 2014-15 Catalog! There are so many possibilities with this stamp set.

Today’s card is one that I used for a Demo swap within the group of Demos I am a part of. There were 7 fabulous Demos that joined the swap and this was my creation for the swap!I used a Crumb Cake card base, a Bermuda Bay mat, and the Whisper White main image panel. I used two new In Color inks, these fabulous colors are called Lost Lagoon and Blackberry Bliss plus I stamped the sentiments in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I really love the way these colors play off of each other, so much fun!

You can
always
