A Fun Creation!

Several months ago Lisa Pretto in the Ink Big Group I am a part of issued a challenge that I joined. She set kits to participants that contained the same items and the challenge was to use everything included in the kit. My kit contained a card base, a doily, a Basic Black Circle, some Bermuda Bay Taffeta Ribbon, and a die cut sentiment stamped in Bermuda Bay.

I wasn’t sure where to start but I decided on pulling out my Occasions catalog designer series paper and some additional Bermuda Bay and Basic Black cardstock. I wanted to make something that wouldn’t be expected from the kit pieces so I made a card with many layers all of which that had that continued using Basic Black and Bermuda Bay throughout. I really like how this card turned out. I think the layers made this a lot of fun and the addition on the Bermuda Bay Starburst Framelit piece really brought the whole card together in my opinion and just gave it that extra bit of pop!

I do hope you like what I had to share today, I had so much fun working
with this kit! I hope you stop by again soon! Have a wonderful day! If

Pals Blog Hop – New Hues Review!

Welcome to the July Pals Blog Hop. This month we are featuring a New Hues Review.
Let the new Stampin’ Up! In Colors for 2014-16 inspire you – Blackberry
Bliss
, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, and Tangelo Twist.  We
hope you find great inspiration from our creations!

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from #2 – Natalie Bradley at Natalie Bradley Events  on
the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below
will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing
creations.

For my creation today I just had to use the fabulous Moonlight Designer Series Paper Pad. I know that not all of the new 2014-2016 In Colors are featured in this Moonlight Designer Series Paper Pad, but it just had so many of the hues that I just had to play! These fabulous colors are so much fun to work with! I used the Hostess Stamp set Bloom With Hope and I used my Aqua Painter to color in this lovely bloom. I used the Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, and Mossy Meadow Ink Pads to color in this image. I also added some of the fun Hello Honey 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon plus a few Rhinestones that I colored with our new Daffodil Delight Blendabilities to match the Hello Honey in the rest of this card.

I didn’t want to overwhelm the card with too much Mossy Meadow so I used just slight layers to accent and complete the card. I really do love all of these colors together! I am only missing one of the five new colors, I think that is pretty darn good.

The next stop is #4 – Katy McGloin at Just Fun Stamping on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and  I hope to see you next month.
