Festival of Trees!
Good morning! I hope you are having the beginning of a wonderful day. Today I wanted to share with you a card that was part of the Stamp a Stack Class I held this weekend featuring the Festival of Trees stamp set. I really love how this card came out, it’s soft a fun!
I wanted to use the Festival of Trees Bundle as well as some of this darling All is Calm Designer Series Paper. I kept going back and forth on the layout for this card and what colors to use, but I think the Smoky Slate, Pear Pizzazz, Lost Lagoon, and Soft Sky color combination really works well together. I think you can really see those tones with the close up image below, these trees just really stand out nicely.

Pals Monthly Blog Hop – Halloween and Harvest
Welcome to the October Pals Blog Hop where we are celebrating an
early Halloween and Harvest season. This month we are sharing Halloween
and fall projects using our wonderful Stampin’ Up! supplies.
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from #18 – Natalie Bradley at Natalie Bradley Eventson the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup
below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the
amazing creations. I have to creations to share with you today, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to create to Halloween or Harvest, so I created for both!
My first card is a fun ‘Thanks’ card that I think would be perfect for a Thanksgiving invite! I used the fabulous Seasonally Scattered stamp set, which is one of my favorites from the Holiday Catalog. I love how the three included stamps work so nicely with all different seasons throughout the year! I used my Heat Tool and some Clear Embossing Powder to emboss the ‘Thanks’ image. I then took my Dauber‘s and created lines over the embossed image. I used first So Saffon Classic Ink, then Tangerine Tango Classic Ink, and I finished it off with Real Red Classic Ink. I then layered the finished image and mounted it onto some Daffodil Delight and tied off some Real Red Cotton Ribbon. To finish off the card I mounted it onto a Tangerine Tango card base.
For my second card I created a fun and spooky feeling card using the fun Holiday Home Bundle of stamps and Framelits Die. I used a Basic Black cardstock base and what you might not expect is I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock mat and cut away the hills I created from the negative. I then used the Holiday Home Framelits Die to cut out one lone narrow home to attach on top of the hill. I then created a mask for the Hello Honey moon I created from using a Sponge with Hello Honey, this allowed me to limit the Hello Honey ink. I then used one of the dies from the Word Bubble Framelits Die to create a cloud shape. I used my Sponge again to create this sky full of deep tones clouds. I added some of the little bat images from the Holiday Home stamp set and the ‘Happy Halloween’ sentiment as well!
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today, I do hope you enjoyed what I shared. I had a so much fun creating both of these cards! The next stop is #20 – Susan Itell at Simple Stampin on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you next month.
