A Merrry Little Christmas!
Today I got the chance to play with two amazing challenges, Pals Paper Arts Challenge #270 and the Global Design Project #004! This week’s Pals Paper Arts challenge is a Color Challenge with Challenge Team #1! Each week the Pals Paper Arts design team creates fabulous samples and invites their readers to join in, be sure to come and join us using this fun sketch challenge:
For the card above I used all three colors from the Pals Paper Arts Challenge exclusively and I did my best to CASE the Designer, in a rough sense. I typically don’t use 1/16″ layers, but with this card I did just that with my Blackberry Bliss layer behind the Sahara Sand top. I also kept a central focus to this card as well as a Christmas theme. A bit of both challenges together helped me achieve this fun card featuring Festive Trees. I did use my Tree Punch to mask the area I stamped my first center tree in Always Artichoke and then used that mask to stamp my Blackberry Bliss trees. I love how this card turned out, atypical colors for me to combine, but I think it all came together nicely.

Pals Paper Arts Challenge #269 – Wonderous Sketch!
Today it’s time to kick off the next Pals Paper Arts Challenge #269! This week’s challenge is a fun Sketch Challenge with Challenge Team #2! Each week the Pals Paper Arts design team creates fabulous samples and invites their readers to join in, be sure to come and join us using this fun sketch challenge:
For this sketch I wanted to create something for the holidays and decided that pulling out my Wonderous Wreath Stamp Set and matching Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies. I stamped the Wreath levels fist in Old Olive, then in Mossy Meadow for the second level of the wreath. I had forgotten how much fun this stamp set can be to work with. For the final layer on the wreath I stamped in Cherry Cobbler and I added a bit of shine with the Rhinestone Basic Accents. This wreath was just the beginning of this great sketch challenge.
For my next stamp I decided to use some Real Red cardstock as my half circle background. For the accent pieces I stamped the darling little flower that is part of the Wonderous Wreath Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler and I stamped off for a two tone look to these accents. I doubled up the top right flower and added some Rhinestones Basic Jewels to each flower center.
