Pals ‘So Thankful’ November Blog Hop
Welcome to the Pals November Blog Hop, we’re so thankful you stopped by. This month we’re showcasing projects that feature Stampin’ Up! Thanksgiving and “Thank You” products. We hope you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or you may have come from the previous blog on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you can enjoy each and every beautiful project.
Today’s card I have for you follows the ‘So Thankful‘ theme of today’s Pals Blog Hop. My creation uses the Six Sayings Host Exclusive Stamp Set and the Vintage Leaves Stamp Set. I used just a touch of Very Vanilla card stock and the Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon to tie this card together. For the background I stamped a random pattern of the Vintage Leaves in Early Espresso and then used daubers to color in each leaf using the colors Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze. Now, I kept the coloring loose to give the background a calming look and feel. I think this card is perfect not only as a ‘Thank You‘, but also as a lovely fall card.
Thank you for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!

Here Kitty, Kitty!
Good morning! Today I have for you one of the boxes I created for my mom’s office decorations for Halloween. I made a series of boxes that include a ghost, pumpkins, and the above black cat all for Halloween! There are a few more on the list for Thanksgiving to work on as well!
The black cat box above uses so many of our fabulous products – starting off with our Curvy Keepsake Box Framelits Die. If you don’t have this die set yet, you are missing out! I have had the Curvy Keepsake Box Framelits Die since they came out and I love designing new possibilities with this die! The base for the black cat is simply our Basic Black cardstock cut out and attached together with our Tear and Tape Adhesive. For the mouth I simply pulled out our White Stampin’ Chalk Marker and drew in the mouth. The eyes are created using the smallest Circle Framelit Die cut in both Whisper White and Basic Black for the whites and the eyelids then I used some Cucumber Crush through the 1″ Circle Punch, only cutting out a small piece. I then did the same with Basic Black cardstock again taking a smaller slit through the punch for the desired look. As far as the nose and whiskers I simply free handed my paper snips for both items and attached everything to my Curvy Keepsake Box using both Tear and Tape Adhesive and the Fine Tip Glue Pen. So much fun with such wonderful products!

Pals Paper Arts Challenge #273 – A Sketch!
Today I have a card for you following the current Pals Paper Arts Challenge #273! This week’s challenge is a fun Sketch Challenge! Each week the Pals Paper Arts team creates fabulous samples and invites their readers to join in, be sure to come and join us using this fun sketch challenge:
I had a wonderful time working with this sketch, and this time I decided to create a Holiday card using my two newest to me stamp sets! In my most recent order I received Oh, What Fun and Festive Fireplace and while putting these sets together order was coincidence this card worked perfectly with this week’s sketch. Using the two sets together didn’t jump at me when they were in my cart, but as soon as I sat down to work on this sketch they seemed meant to be together. I also used the beautiful Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper and some Tip Top Taupe 1″ Dotted Lace Ribbon with some corner placed pearls to complete today’s creation.
Now, I realize that you may not be sure how the the lovely greens became slightly curved – since they are straight in the set. I will let you in a on secret…ready?! Okay, here it goes…you can add a slight bend or curve when working with our photopolymer stamps! All you have to do is to attach one side of the stamp in question to your clear block and adjust the other side until you have the results you are looking for. Of course this technique works best on longer and thinner stamps, but give it a try! I would like to see what you come up with!
If you haven’t heard yet Stampin’ Up! is having a sale! That’s right, ALL Stamp Sets are 15% off!!
OH…and that’s not all…you can Join My Stampin’ Up! Team and this sale price will be used on all Stamp Sets (Clearance, Host, and Kits do not count) in your kit! If you have an order over $125 and would like to spend only $99 + tax on that order instead, consider joining my Team! I would love to share so much more with you about Stampin’ Up!
