Pals Blog Hop – My Favorite Season!

2016badge-dijonWelcome to the Pals Blog Hop for September 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month our projects represent our favorite year end Season. It may be Autumn, Winter, Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas (and maybe even a combination!) We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

My favorite season is the fall! I adore the cooler days, the gorgeous colors all around us changing, and having so much together time with family! So, to illustrate some of those items I created two cards to share today, and yes, the both creations use Cookie Cutter Halloween!

I wanted to create a scene that was a bit ‘spooky’, so what better set to do that with than the Spooky Fun Bundle! This bundle is jam packed with so many coordinating dies and images! I used the tree outline from the die set in Basic Black then stamped a few bats in the sky with the sentiment ‘have some spooky fun!’. I used Peekaboo Peach in both cards, a color that I believe is perfect for fall creations!

I thought that the combination of these two die cuts would be perfect for a fall countryside scene, so I paired it with our little Scarecrow! This little Scarecrow is just darling and is one of the four fabulous stamps in the Cookie Cutter Halloween set!

Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!

Pals Paper Arts Challenge PPA317 – Crazy About…

Crazy About You Jackie Diediker Stampin UpToday I have a fun new ‘Crazy About You’ card to share with you for the current Pals Paper Arts Challenge #317– a mix of Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry, and Crushed Curry. For this week’s color challenge Michelle Quinno is our host – these bold and bright colors simply scream fall!

PPA-317-Sep08For this color combination I wanted to create something that reminded me of fall, so I used the large flower from the Crazy About You stamp set. These colors remind me of the different varieties I find of Mums around this time of year, and this stamp looks just like the blooms on a mum.

I used the Duet Banner Punch and the sentiment ‘Bless Your Heart’. Do you know which stamp set this sentiment is from? Why it’s included in the fabulous Jar of Love Stamp Set! See, it really is a versatile set! I really enjoy combing different sets and styles in one card when I get the chance. In fact, this luscious Rich Razzleberry Ribbon is one of the fabulous new Holiday Catalog products too. This ribbon is one of the tree included in the Ribbon 3/8″ Trio Pack, perfect for any fall creation. Overall good mixture of ‘old’, ‘new’ and ‘really new’ goodies!

Thank you for visiting my blog today. I really had fun creating today’s challenge card! I hope you drop by again soon. If you haven’t played along join in on this week’s Pals Paper Arts Challenge! Have a wonderful day!
