March Paper Pumpkin Kit Creations!

I
know I have said it before, but I am loving the changes that Stampin’
Up! has made to their ‘revamped‘ Paper Pumpkin kits! Check out the
reveal” of the March Paper Pumpkin Kit! Mine arrived this past week and I have been having a blast playing with my goodies!

For my creations so far using my fabulous March kit I just had to try out different things. First off, I love the glitter circle embellishments, but I hate the mess of glitter. My alternative was to use some pearls on my thank you card to change it up a bit plus I added using the twine from the Sale-A-Bration accessories. There is still time to pick one free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog with every purchase of $50, like this fabulous twine. I also used my Calypso Coral Stampin’ Spot to color the wooden thank you.

My second card I went a bit more traditional in my creation and used the second stamp included in the kit with the fabulous Island Indigo Stampin’ Spot. Plus, I again decided to pull out this twine again, it just goes so well with this kit! I went back and forth on adding more details to this card, but I think this worked as is. I hope you liked both of these cards. These are just 2 of the possible 8 I can create with this amazing kit! Be sure to keep stopping by, you never know when I might add another card or two from this kit.

There is a special going on now for new subscribers too! You have until Monday, March 31st you can sign up for the Paper Pumpkin Kit and in addition to the new member starter kit (which always includes a FREE ‘D’ clear block!) you can also get a FREE set of the 2012-2014 In Color Markers! Trust me, if I hadn’t signed up already this one would reel me in! Be sure to head on over to the Paper Pumpkin website and sign up! If you decided to sign up please add me as your Stampin Up! Demonstrator, Jackie Diediker from Topeka, KS. All of my subscribers will receive a little something FREE from me after their welcome kit! It will be a surprise!

Pals Paper Arts Challenge #196 – Sketch!

I got the chance to play along with the current Pals Paper Arts Challenge #196 – SketchChallenge. Each week the Pals Paper Arts team creates fabulous samples and invites their readers to join in! This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge!

I got the chance to play along with the newest sketch this morning before work, yes you read that correctly! Some sketches just ‘click’ when I see them and others take some time for me to get ideas, but this one just clicked! I used the fabulous Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper and paired it with one of my favorite stamp sets right now, Peaceful Petals! I can’t seem to find my Aqua Painter, so I instead used some Stampin’ Write Markers to color in my main image and sentiment. I used the current In Colors Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, and Summer Starfruit for my flower image. It turned out a bit darker than the background, but I think it really works.

Also, just so you know why there are two photos of the same card in this post, I wanted to share with you one card photographed with Whisper White behind it (the one directly above this sentence) and one with Smoky Slate (at the top of this post). I think having a bit of contrast with a white card base is always helpful!

I do hope you like what I had to share today, I had so much fun working with these colors! I hope you stop by again soon! Have a wonderful day!
