Oh Happy Day!
I got the chance this weekend to play along with the current Color Throwdown Challenge which I haven’t taken part in in what seems like forever. In fact, I went back and looked and my last entry was in October 2011! Good golly time flies!
I just loved this color range and I knew I had to play along, but when I pulled out all of my papers and inks I just didn’t know where to go next. I started sorting out my stamps and decided I just had to play along with my new to me stamp set, Starburst Sayings! I just love this ‘Happy Day’ image and the matching Starburst Framelits Dies are amazing too! I used the accents stamps from the Perfect Pennants set for the lines and dots in the background at the bottom of the card and them added a bit of pearls in the corners of the Blushing Bride layer behind the main image!
March Class Make-and-Take!
Good afternoon everyone! Today I had the pleasure of delivering orders to my amazing local customers. If you aren’t one of my customer’s yet, it is never to late to become one! I offer a monthly class where we create 2 – cards, 1 – 3D project, and 1 make-and-take. I have also been known to thrown in surprises once in a while or offer door prizes to everyone who attends the class. This month we got to work with the Mosaic Madness Bundle and the matching embossing folder, the Hip-Hip Hooray Card Kit (so neat to try out together!), we created a box for just one Ghirardelli chocolate, and created this fun Sale-A-Bration card!
This fun card features some of my favorite products being offered in this years Sale-A-Bration! We used the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper, the Decorative Dots embossing folder, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, and the fun Banner Framelits Dies! We embossed the Crisp Cantaloupe background and cut the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper with the Banner Framelits Dies. Now, your probably wondering who that small banner was able to span the sentiment and still look so long, well there is a trick for that! We cut the paper with the Banner Framelit Die and then cut that banner in half! That’s right, if you were to take this card apart you would find only a small amount of designer series paper, but this allows us to get the most of our Sale-A-Bration goodies and of course use up out scraps!
I can’t believe that Sale-A-Bration is almost at an end for this year. It has been a blast creating and featuring these products these last few months. Don’t fret though, there is still time to place an order or host an online workshop to sneak in some last minute Sale-A-Bration goodies! Remember each and every $50.00 purchase until March 31st allows you a FREE Sale-A-Bration item! Contact me today for more information before it’s too late!
Pals Paper Arts Challenge #197 – Sketch!
I got the chance to play along with the current Pals Paper Arts Challenge #197 – Sketch Challenge. Each week the Pals Paper Arts team creates fabulous samples and invites their readers to join in! This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge!
I got the chance to play along with the newest sketch as soon as it was posted and I just love it! A friend of mine is going through some things right now and making her an uplifting card has been on my ‘to do’ list for a few days and when I saw this sketch I thought it was perfect! I used lots of Sale-A-Bration goodies, man am I loving everything being offered this year by Sale-A-Bration! I used the Decorative Dots embossing folder, the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper, and the Crisp Cantaloupe Twine from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack. There is still time to take advantage of the Sale-A-Bration items that you can get FREE with a $50.00 purchase! Contact me today for more information before it’s too late, offer ends March 31st!
I do hope you like what I shared today, I had so much fun working with these colors and these items! I hope you stop by again soon! Have a wonderful day!
