Pals Paper Arts #200 – A Sketch Challege!

I got the chance to play along with the current Pals Paper Arts Challenge #200 – Sketch Challenge. Each week the Pals Paper Arts team creates fabulous samples and invites their readers to join in! This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge, and not only that, but their 200th challenge too! All 20 designers have joined in for one big celebration! Plus, they added a ‘twist’ this week…..monochromatic!

I got the chance to play last night with this fun sketch and I had so much fun with it! Honestly, looking at the finished result I think that I may have highlighted all of my favorite Occasions Catalog items in one creation. I used two different prints from the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Pad, both in Red, my chosen color. Then I pulled out my Starburst Sayings stamp set and matching Starburst Framelits too. Now, if that wasn’t enough in itself I also decided to use the Petite Petals stamp set and matching Petite Petals punch. I thought that this perticular flower would break up the sea of red just a bit to make the card come together better. I also added a touch of our Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon and some Pearl Basic Jewels to finish this card off.

I do hope you like what I had to share today, I had so much fun working with this sketch, and this week’s twist was a lot of fun! I hope you stop by again soon! Have a wonderful day!

Some Notebook Fun!

Do you think I was done with sharing gift ideas? Well, if you did surprise! I have even more gifts ideas to share with you today! Yes, these are still items from that same weekend, I just got gift happy. Today I have a fun group of altered mini notebooks. This actually say ‘composition’ on them somewhere under our fabulous paper. The idea for this project I got from my friend and upline, Sherrie Gross. This was one of the projects we created during a Stamp Club meeting, this is my take on those projects!

I used our fabulous and fun Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Pad. I simply love these colors together, I don’t think I would put them together without being prompted, but I love the results! I pulled out my Bracket Label Punch and punched out this fun stamped image. Again, this stamp was a single available for a limited time and is no longer available, but the Tags For You stamp set is still available! Imagine this notebooks using the stamp ‘Have a Holly Jolly Christmas’ or ‘Happy Heart Day’! They would be just as darling then too! I finished these notebooks off by adding touches of solid color cardstock and ribbon! These cardstock choices feature the Pool PartyCrumb Cake, and Blushing Bride plus ribbon matching each.

I do hope you enjoyed what I had to share with you today! If you want to see some special postings and peeks be sure to join my facebook page at Stampin’ Jackie! Have a fabulous day!
