Here’s to a Bright Future Graduate!

I know that this stamp set is now ‘retired’ and is off the shelves, but I created this card as part of my class for April. Needless to say, that was before the set was added to the retirement list, but everyone loved this card in class yesterday!

I love making one card a bit simpler for class, and the texture of the Chevron Embossing Folder really adds a new element to this card. I stamped Pure Gumption as my main sentiment and then added this little hat from the stamp set. In fact I stamped this hat twice, once on the sentiment Whisper White and then again on a smaller piece that I then colored and cut out. Once I had my second hat ready I added a Dimensional behind it to pop it up. I also used Dimensionals under the Basic Black cardstock piece. I did find that the Pure Gumption stamp set has been made into a digital set! You may want to check it out these!

I do hope you like what I had to share today, I had so much fun working on a Graduation card! I hope you stop by again soon! Have a wonderful day!

Pals Paper Arts #201 – A Sketch Challege!

I got the chance to play along with the current Pals Paper Arts Challenge #201 – Sketch Challenge. Each week the Pals Paper Arts team creates fabulous samples and invites their readers to join in!
This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge!

I got the chance to play along this week, and there are just so many different possibilities for this sketch. I took a while to get started, but I love what I decided on! I pulled out my Lovely As a Tree stamp set and got to work. I was so excited to see that this stamp set is staying as part of the Stampin’ Up! line, I was concerned it might be retired. It’s an oldie but certainly a goodie that will be sticking around! I paired it up with the fun Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper and Bermuda Bay cardstock. I also colored in the main image with the Baked Brown Sugar and Pistachio Pudding Stampin’ Markers.

I do hope you like what I had to share today, I had so much fun working
with this sketch! I hope you stop by again soon! Have a wonderful day!

For My Wonderful Mother!

With the retirement list live some stamp sets I am bummed about leaving the line, but I know more fabulous stamp sets are to come! Today I am sharing a card that will be a part of my class this weekend that features a retiring stamp set, Delightful Dozen.

This was a set that I hadn’t paid attention to, but now that I have ordered it I love it! There are so many sentiments that are perfect all year long. When I wanted to design a Mother’s Day card for this month’s class I kept going back and forth on which stamp set to get. I decided to use this stamp set since it is so versatile and you get a lot of bang for your buck. I used an unusual floral color combination of Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight, both of which match the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper piece that is slightly to the left of this card. I also played with the Petite Petals Stamp set and matching Punch bundle, plus I pulled out the Little Leaves Stampin’ Up Sizzlits Die. I also added a bit of Daffodil Delights Seam Binding to finish it off!

I do hope you enjoyed what I had to share with you today! If you want to see
